At one time or another, we all need immediate care for a health problem. But, when is it best to go to an Urgent Care Center and when should you go to the hospital Emergency Room (ER)?

Many times, going to the ER isn’t the best choice. ER visits are usually costly and often are not the most efficient option. The ER should be reserved for true emergencies, like serious accidents, symptoms of heart attack or stroke, or any other life-threatening medical problem.

DCHS Medical Foundation’s Urgent Care Center is the best place for problems that need medical attention within 24 hours. Most likely, hospitalization will not be required. Urgent Care is a convenient alternative where you can get quick, quality medical treatment for conditions like fever, sore throat, flu, sprains, simple fractures and other common ailments.
